Juventus Football shirts for the Real FAN

I’m a big fan of Juventus FC since a little girl. I would watch the matches with my father every weekend. That was our “thing”. Mom wasn’t much of a football fan but she’d sit with us once in  a while.

Dad would buy me a shirt every summer when we went to Italy. I still have them. Now that he is gone, they have even more sentimental value.

I have started the same tradition with both my kids. Buying them a Juventus jersey every year as they grow.

I looked into the history of the Juventus shirt and created an page for it.

Being a fan of Juventus is a life style. Wearing their shirt, with pride, makes me feel great, connects me to my roots in Italy and reminds me of all the wonderful moments I shared with my dad.

I think every parent should create such moments with their children.  Something different than the day-to-day stuff, things that will stick with them for the rest of their life.

Every Juventus fan should know their history, especially that of their uniform, the proud black and white. After extensive research I have found exactly what happened in the last 100+ years of this great club's history:

Juventus FC have played in black and white striped shirts since 1903. Before that they played in pink shirts with a black tie because they was sent the incorrect shirts. John Savage had a contact from Nottingham who shipped out the black and white striped shirts to Turin. Since then, Juve have worn the shirts considering the colors powerful.

Also, the white silhouette of a charging bull is a depiction of the Comune di Torino. There's also a black silhouette of a mural crown which is a reminiscence to Augusta Tourinorum, the old town of the Roman era. In the 1980s, the club emblem was the silhouette of a zebra, the 2 golden stars and above this badge the club's name.
